COLIN LYONS GARDEN DESIGN

A full range of services are offered which are tailored to meet our clients needs. As well as the list below I offer a planting service and am able to source plants, materials, and any bespoke items

Consultation

This involves a visit to your home where we review your garden and where we discuss style, tastes & what it is you desire from your new garden. A comprehensive brief will be taken, allowing me to develop an individual design for your garden and which forms the basis of the finished designed and constructed garden

Survey

A detailed measured survey and analysis of the garden will be taken allowing us to assess the possibilities and limitations of the site, noting levels, existing features, aspect, views, access and planting, along with soil samples taken from various parts of the garden. From the survey we are able to draw up detailed plans of the garden

Design Plans

Sketch proposals are produced and are open to discussion showing ideas formed from the client brief and survey. Once agreed on the proposed design, an outline and layout plan will be presented, showing the general design layout, ideas and style of planting, and from which a contractor will be able to construct the garden

Construction drawings and specification documents can be produced if and as required

Planting Plans

A comprehensive planting plan and schedule showing the species, number and their location in the garden can be produced. Plants are selected according to your likes and the style of the garden, noting soil suitability, aspect and any maintenance required.

Build

Bringing the design to life.

I can appoint and recommend approved and competitive contractors on your behalf who will construct the gardens to a very high standard to the works specified.

Project Monitoring

A monitoring service is available where I can manage the building of the garden and ensure that it is built and finished as per the plan and specification to the highest standard and whilst any correspondence with the contractor on your behalf can be addressed by myself
